Mike Dazio is CEO of ZT Technology Solutions. Mike’s passion has been the concept of extending the life of legacy systems. He has spoken at several conferences and is considered an expert in technology obsolescence, product life cycle management, and total cost of ownership as they relate to legacy products. Prior to founding ZT, he was Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Datatek Applications. He has over 30 years’ experience in the telecommunications and government markets. While at AT&T and Lucent Technologies he was responsible for all Product Management activities for advanced data networking and optical networking products (DatakitVCS and LambdaRouter) and created and spun-off Datatek Applications from Lucent in 1998. More recently he was responsible for spearheading Datatek Applications’ entry into the government market space and was successful in receiving a Phase I/Phase II SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) grant for an IPv4-IPv6 Transformer. He was also responsible for winning the 2006 New Jersey SBDC (Small Business Development Center) Small Business of the year award. Mr. Dazio is an active member of AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association) and AUSA (Association of the United States Army), Industrial Representatives Association (IRA) and of Society of Logistics Engineers (SOLE). Mr. Dazio has a B.S. Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York and a Masters of Business Administration from New York University.

John Tsimaras is the President of ZT Technology Solutions. John has a diverse business and technical background engaged in the telecommunications industry and government sector that spans over 30 years. Prior to founding ZT with Mike Dazio, John was Vice President of Engineering at Datatek Applications. While at Datatek, John led the design, development, manufacture and production of many products sold to Tier-1 telecommunications companies like AT&T, Verizon, Century-Link, etc. These migration products have been successful in extending the life of legacy products by at least 10 years. While at Datatek, he also oversaw a thriving maintenance and support organization for legacy AT&T and Lucent products. He built a strong engineering team that provided design services to many technology companies. The tasks performed for Datatek’s customers included the design and production of prototypes, development of System Architectures, performance studies, and proof-of-concept prototypes to help secure funding. Prior to joining Datatek Applications, John held various engineering and management positions at Lucent Technologies, AT&T, and Bell Laboratories where he helped develop systems used in diverse telecommunications applications. Mr. Tsimaras holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York and a Masters of Engineering from Cornell University.

Perry Lee brings over 20 years of software engineering experience to his role as Vice President of Software Engineering. Prior to joining ZT Technology Solutions, Perry was lead in the Sustaining/Software Engineering groups for Priority Call Management (PCM) from its early growth through its acquisition by uReach Technologies. At PCM and eventually uReach Technologies, Perry was instrumental in stabilizing and improving the company’s enterprise and carrier grade telephony products with innovative software solutions and technologies. This collaborative effort was a major undertaking and was key to the company’s telephony products being adopted by major Tier 1 customers. Perry also took on role as project management for various projects to enhance the company’s telephony products to support emerging telecommunications technologies and to migrate the products into newer hardware environments. Prior to PCM, he was employed at the MITRE Corporation a non-profit federally funded and research oriented think-tank for the Department of Defense. Perry’s role was to develop creative software solutions for integrating emerging technologies in High Performance Computing (HPC) and High Performance Embedded Computing (HPEC) to support ever changing needs in areas such as signal processing, telecommunications, and network storage.

David Summerfelt is ZT Technology Solutions’ Vice President of Switching Operations. Dave has enjoyed a 47-year career in the Telecommunications industry and possesses a vast knowledge of telecom. He is recognized as an industry expert on Ribbon Communications (Nortel) switching products. His  vast experiences range from Technical Support, Training, Management, and Design. He’s also considered a specialist in SS7, billing, routing protocols and translation products. Dave’s product expertise includes Cisco, Fore Systems, 3COM, Nortel, Carrier Access, Excel, Tellabs, Ascend and Bay Networks. Dave was instrumental in developing and supporting Alcatel-Lucent’s Multi-Vendor Maintenance (MVM) Program and managed the operation of the team tasked with support of Class 5 switching products. His leadership enabled Alcatel-Lucent to become a powerful competitor in the MVM market arena.
