ZT has developed a complete suite of services to help customers, both service providers and telecom equipment suppliers, to extend the life of their legacy equipment.

For service providers or end users, we believe that extending the life cycle of legacy products is the key to minimizing the total cost of ownership. In many cases, this allows customers to gracefully plan the migration to Next generation products or to keep the existing equipment in the network for the foreseeable future. Most decisions are based on technology, reliability, and financial concerns. We will work with you to help quantify those concerns.

Fundamentally, we believe in being proactive with our customers. As we learn your network and your concerns, we will develop suggestions as to how best extend the life cycle of your legacy equipment.

Our Proactive /Health Check Maintenance proposals will address:

♦ Physical audits of all locations including spares to determine consistency of all hardware, software, firmware and documentation levels
♦ Review security/password plan for all products including backup systems and network management/element management systems
♦ Develop no-down time, installation and migration procedures
♦ Develop back-up plans/Disaster recovery Plans
♦ Review past ticket logs for recurring or problem areas for both hardware and software and identify and quality issues and make recommendations for corrective actions
♦ Verify and document system environment at each location, including Power, HVAC, and grounding
♦ Verify and document system configuration and review databases and make recommendation
♦ Examine “Health” of the system including fans, filters, and power supplies
♦ Review all maintenance procedures and MOPS
♦ Provide customized training as needed
♦ Provide on-site resources as needed

For existing OEM telecom equipment suppliers we provide the capability to outsource their current engineering/sustaining responsibility for both hardware and software legacy products. This allows the OEMs to redeploy experienced staff to newer products and cuts their engineering costs .We have successfully done for many legacy telecom products. We offer customized options to meet your customer commitments.
